本記事では、VOAでの勉強結果をブログにまとめるに当たり、
VOAの著作権の考え方を確認した結果を記します。

VOAの著作権は、「Terms Of Use And Privacy Notice」のページに示されています。
本ページの「Copyright Statement」が著作権の考え方に当たります。

1. All text, audio and video material produced exclusively by the Voice of America is in the public domain. Credit for any use of VOA material should be given to voanews.com, Voice of America, or VOA. However, voanews.com content may also contain text, video, audio, images, graphics, and other copyrighted material that is licensed for use in VOA programming only. This material is not in the public domain and may not be copied, redistributed, sold, or published without the express permission of the copyright owner. 

2.Third Party Content: VOA has individual licenses from Agence France Presse (AFP), the Associated Press (AP) and Reuters to use their text, video, audio, photos and graphics on our website. All three agencies’ material is copyrighted and the property of AFP, AP and Reuters respectively, and may not be copied, published or redistributed without the written permission of each agency. 3. 「Voice of America」と「voanews.com」 は、許可を示すことなく、商用目的での使用を禁じている商標である。voanews.com へのリンクを作りたい場合、voanews.comのサムネイル画像を使用することを許可する。また、voanews.comにリンクを張りたい場合、voanews@voanews.com.まで依頼メールを送付すること。

項目1より、VOAが独自作成したニュースは、公有化されているとのことです。
従って、本ブログで上記ニュースの内容を紹介することは問題ないと考えます。
ただし、項目2の記載から、VOA以外の作成記事の取り扱いは遠慮しようと思います。

補足ですが、VOAはアメリカの国営放送局で、著作物を公有化しています。
一方、日本のNHKは国営放送局ではなく、公共放送局であるため、
著作物の権利はNHKに属しており、VOAのニュースと同じ扱いは出来ないようです。

本記事では、VOAの著作権の考え方を確認した結果を記しましましたが、
翻訳結果を読み返すと、一部不明確点があり、まだまだ勉強が必要と思います。

特に、項目2の最後の一文に関しては、orが連続する複雑な文章構造であり、
翻訳結果の信頼性は低いと思われますので、再検討が必要です。 

今後、ニュース記事や動画を活用して、英語力向上を図りたいと思います。
